May 5-8
I got my pre-ordered Tech N9ne album on monday. That was awesome because it was a whole day early! I ordered it about a month ago and the wait was beyond worth it. The album was awesome, I got a cool t-shirt, a nice decal, a signed album booklet, a silver collectors coin, and a bonus CD. So far it just keeps getting better and better with every play through. Now all that's left is to finish up the rest of the school year and then go to the Tech N9ne concert in lewiston the week after classes end. The other nice part is as soon as classes end I can finally start working again at the county highway district. It's a simple job of spraying weeds and fixing road signs but it's a job I thoroughly enjoy doing. It's nice because its an easy, four day a week job that pays pretty decent wages. It's enough to pay for stuff that i want and whatnot. It was enough last year for me to buy a pickup and still have a lot left over. Then it's on to waiting for next school year to start basically. Not that I want to spend the time waiting for school to start, that's just usually what it amounts to though.

march 31 thru april 4
I went to see montez from workaholics perform stand up at the sub on tuesday. I must say he was rather funny. He did tell a lot of rather racy and dirty jokes and some that were possibly in bad taste but they made me laugh so I do not care ha ha. He made a lot of sex related jokes, a lot of which were about a website that he frequented that was basically a site for porn bloopers. Then today I went to the newest captain america movie, which was much better than I expected. There was a lot of explosions and badass fighting scenes that were extremely well choreographed. A lot of flipping, rolling, spinning, flipping and more flipping. Some nice plot twists were tossed in there too, so that was pretty neat. There's a part where Samuel L. Jackson is a complete bad mother fucker, as he always is in any movie, and just kicks ass. It still wasn't exactly the greatest piece of cinema I have seen but it was thoroughly enjoyable I would say.

March 24-28, 2014
This week actually went by really fast. Spring break ended and I was depressed, now its friday and I am happy once again. This weekend is sure to be a busy one, seeing as I have a lot of family events I have to attend. My grandma's birthday is sunday so I have to help make her dinner and then go to my aunt and uncle's house for my little cousins birthday. Gotta love conflicts in schedules. The big thing I'm waiting for is my birthday. I am (hopefully) getting a nice pair of White's boots from my parents which would make me sooooooo happy. They're pretty expensive boots but they last a long time and can be repaired for free whenever something on them breaks or rips or falls apart. They're just super comfortable, durable and all around great boots. I really need a new pair to have this summer for work, seeing as its almost a given that you need a good pair of boots to work on a road maintenance crew. I spend a lot of my time in a pickup driving through the county and spraying weeds, fixing signs, flagging while the roads are being chip-sealed (similar to asphalt paving). The worst days are chip-sealing for sure. We do it right at the end of august basically when its super hot, we stand on a hot road in the sun all day wearing jeans and high visibility vests. It's nice for a day when it's different than spraying weeds all day, but after that its just hot, messy, and terrible. The chip-seal just sticks to everything too, the oil they put down is extremely sticky so the gravel chips stick to the existing road surface. That also makes the rock stick to your tires, vehicle and everything else that touches it, so your shoes get ruined if you walk in it, which is what I do all day.

March 21, 2014
I went to Elk River today to help my grandparents take some couches to their cabin there. The snow is about three to four feet deep there, but it's such old snow that it's basically ice at this point and you just walk along the top of it. Dallan and I had to carry a hide-a-bed up a flight of stairs into their upstairs living room area. Those hide-a-beds are heavy as shit. It didn't help that I threw out my shoulder yesterday pull starting my friends four-wheeler (like how you have to start a lawnmower but way harder). Holy hell my shoulder hurts now. Along with my knees from riding yesterday I am just miserable right now. On top of all that I was going to go on a nice date tonight but that fell through too, but no big deal that just means pizza and a poker night with my friends!
March 20, 2014
Today I went riding for the first time in awhile. I went out to viola and loaded up my grandpa's four wheeler into the back of my pickup and came back to town for a couple hours while I waited for my buddy to get his four wheeler running. I also had to buy sixty dollars worth of gas since my rig was running low and I had to fill the four wheeler up. The ride itself was pretty fun. We rode through snow, mud ( a lot of mud), water, more mud, more snow and some more mud. I got stuck when some of the hard snow we were riding on broke and my rear tires sunk into about two feet of mud and mucky water. It wasn't hard to get out of but I got covered in the damn mud. We actually got snowed on for a good hour, we eventually decided to pack it all up and head back. When I was unloading my grandpa's four wheeler from the back of my pickup when I was returning it I almost flipped it over. I gotta say that was pretty terrifying.
March 19, 2014
My birthday is exactly a month from today, fun fact of the day. Today I pretty much did nothing other than sleep a lot and take Dallan to the mall to buy an xbox one since his car is in the shop. It's there because it got hit and run a couple of weeks ago. It was in pretty bad shape too, needs a new hood and front fender. I listened to a lot of music too. I think I just put a playlist on and listened to like 150 songs or so, it was nice to just zone out and listen to some tunes for awhile. I have been getting back into my country music lately since the weather is getting nice.
March 18, 2014
Today I finally got to wash my pickup and clean the entire thing out. I spent a good hour washing it and getting all the winter muck and magnesium chloride off of it. Then I dried it and began work on the inside. I had a lot of trash, random tools and clothing items throughout the cab. I then took the floor mats out and washed them off. Once my rig was completely dry I waxed it. At this point I had been working on my rig for around two and a half hours. After I finished waxing it I got the shop vac out and vacuumed as much of the interior as i could get to. I reorganized everything that I needed to keep in the cab and added some supplies. I put my toolbox back in, my first aid kit, my gallon of emergency water, half a gallon of motor oil, and some other stuff. Then I decided while I was at it I would polish my chrome, there is a lot of chrome on my pickup. It took about another hour. Once everything was all said and done I had spent four hours washing, waxing, vacuuming, reorganizing, polishing and detailing my pickup. I felt pretty good.
March 17, 2014
Day one of spring break. I went to the rec center and worked out for a bit. I made an attempt at washing my pickup but before i could do it the weather got cold. I also went fishing for carp in lewiston yesterday to no avail. These carp are so lazy they won't even go after a baited hook. You literally have to get a giant hook and maneuver it toward the carp and then pull the rod back hard and manually hook the carp. Their scales are about the size and almost thickness of your thumbnail if not bigger. The suckers can get up to about 30 pounds. unfortunately we could not hook one.

March 7, 2014 another long one
The game was all us for the first half then they came back and tied it. We kicked a 3 point field goal and the score was 17-14 us. Lakeland scored a touchdown and it was 21-17 them. We had about two minutes left on the clock. A lot of the seniors and younger guys who were on the sideline looked defeated, but the other starters and I knew we could do it. We started at our 20 yard line and drove the ball (with the help of a few penalties on lakeland) to Lakeland's 30 yard line. With about 15 seconds left on the clock on a long 4th down (our last try before lakeland would get the ball back) we tried a pass play. I worked hard to block my guy from getting to the quarterback and on a quick look back I could see Kyle (our Quarterback) was scrambling to make time for the receivers to get open. I hit my guy hard and knocked him down so Kyle could throw, and he chucked it deep for the end zone. Keep in mind this all happened in about 5 seconds. The ball looked like it was going to be intercepted by the lakeland defender and all of a sudden Alex (one of our receivers) came out of nowhere and grabbed the ball out of the air for a touchdown. We were now in the lead by three after the extra point kick. We kicked the ball off with ten seconds remaining in the game. Lakeland returned the kick about 20 yards and took 9 of the 10 seconds off the clock giving them one last chance to make an 80 yard play to score and win. They weren't able to pull it off and we won and were heading to the state playoffs. Moscow hadn't been there in 15 years so we were a big deal. We then hosted Bonneville from twin falls for the first game of the playoffs, it was a muddy and cold game in moscow that we ended up losing 18-6 which ended the season. I was happy we hosted it though, I wanted to have one last game at Bear Field. After the game I sat in the bleachers and just kind of reminisced about the six years of football I played there for about an hour until the lights got shut off. You would probably never see emotion from me and the guys in my class like you would have seen in the locker room after that game. We all finally realized that once we took our equipment off we would never put it on again. Most of us were either blank faced and staring at the floor or crying uncontrollably, primarily the latter. We all got to have our time to say a few words to our team mates and coaches. It was definitely hard to take that uniform and those pads off. I have so many memories on that football field, and I definitely would do anything to strap the pads on one more time and play for my town and to play with my best friends again.
March 6, 2014: This one's a long one.
This will be a two parter:
After seeing stuff about the state wrestling and basketball tournament that old teammates of mine are/were going to it really made me miss sports in high school. I definitely took them for granted for the first few years of high school. It took me all the way to senior year to realize that I really don't want to take them for granted. Everyone says that once you get to senior year you realize how time has flown and to enjoy every minute of sports you play, I never really bought it till I was playing my last football game. Nothing was more fun that playing football for me and all the training that came with it. The season wasn't all that good, we were a talented and good team but we kept losing close games. A couple were decided by one point and a couple others were decided by one touchdown. We did beat our district rivals though. One of them, Sandpoint, was a team we had a lot of trouble beating in the past. My sophomore year we lost to them in double overtime by a field goal which sent them to the state playoffs rather than us, then my junior year we beat them by scoring a touchdown on a 85 yard drive. We got the ball with about a minute and a half left and then scored with about 8 seconds left. We could have kicked an extra point and tied it to go to overtime but we had nothing to lose since lakeland (our other district rival) was going to state seeing as they beat us and sandpoint already so we went for a two point try. We scored it by throwing a little jump pass to the back of the endzone and with that we took the lead by one. The next kick took the last 8 seconds and we won. It was a bad season but the end was so good, we hadn't beat sandpoint in close to 8 years. Then senior year happened. We lost our first four games, then played a team from canada here at the kibbie dome. We won in a blowout and played some great football, we then lost the next game to lewiston by one. We then traveled up to sandpoint for our first district game. We completely blew sandpoint out of the water, my mom is the athletic trainer for moscow and has been for awhile and she had never seen moscow beat sandpoint up there. The next week Lakeland came to our house to play us for the championship game. Lakeland was 5 and 2 we were 2 and 5 in the win/loss column.
I'll continue in the next post.

Today I really just don't know what to type. I guess I'll just talk about the song that's been stuck in my head all day. Mostly it's been "Truck Yeah" by Tim Mcgraw. It's not exactly the best song but I really like it because of the way the actual instrumental part of the song sounds. Also it has a lot of memories to it as well. It takes me back to senior year of high school football. When we were getting ready for practice we would blast that song through the sound system we had set up in our locker room. Our coach always would come in and dance around with us during that song, it was always a good time and a great way to set the mood high for practice since no one really wanted to be there at first.
March 4, 2014
Right after school gets out I get to start going to a bunch of concerts and working again. It will be so nice to get back to my job spraying weeds and other road maintenance for the county. There are a lot of things that I need some money for. I have a few touches I need to add to my pickup and about 3-4 concerts to go to. Its definitely going to be a nice off time from school this summer. I am so tired of the day to day sitting in class and doing homework. I like just going to work for the day, coming home and then going and doing what I want.
March 3, 2014
Just decided what my next major purchase will be. There's an album that I have been anticipating since it was announced last fall called "Strangeulation" which is a Tech N9ne Collabos album which is an album where Tech N9ne collaborates with a lot of other artists basically making a big showcase album. In this case it is an entirely Strange Music album where all 15 Strange Music artists are together and making this album come together. It's called Strangeulation for that reason. It means the act of strange music collectively having the music industry in a chokehold.

Today is my mom's birthday, it is also Dallan's mom's birthday as well seeing as our mothers are twin sisters and all. It's actually kind of weird, my Dad's mom is a twin too, so he's the son of a twin and then also married a twin. Tonight at my grandma's house we are having family dinner for my Mom and Aunt's birthday. We are having a nice taco/fajita/nacho bar for dinner. My group is also firing up the time machine for our commercial this afternoon.
February 27, 2014
Today I gave my mom her birthday present since her birthday is tomorrow. I got her a nice vandal tee shirt and a nice Joe Vandal crew neck sweater that she really liked. We had some nice Chinese food for dinner. Although I must say I could not taste a difference between the General Tso's chicken and the Orange Chicken other than a slight bit of citrus taste in the orange. For the most part it just tasted like chicken smothered in ketchup with some sweet and sour sauce mixed in. It sure as hell smelled like ketchup...

I had my first philosophy test today, hated it. Seriously it is the most boring class I have ever taken. I don't know why I signed up for that, I hate myself for doing it but oh well, that's just the way it goes I guess. It sucks because the TA that teaches my section is not very good and I haven't been having an easy time learning in that class. I know that a lot of the kids in my class have the same feeling too.

Another recap of my weekend in Walla Walla. Jarod may be one of the greatest cooks I have met. He made sticky fingers that tasted exactly like they came from wingers, and he told me how to make the sauce, which is basically all that you need. He also made the most delicious chocolate chip pancakes ever, he used sweet cream pancake mix so that was pretty neat. I gotta say, I need to go visit my friend more often, I eat like a king when I'm over there. We didn't really do much other than play video games, eat delicious food, listen to loud music and go to a concert but man was that fun.
February 24, 2014
I had a kick ass weekend in walla walla. The concert was terrible though. Well, let me re-phrase that. The first three hours of the concert that was full of opening acts and what not completely sucked, besides maybe one of the openers. We sat on bar stools for about three hours waiting for the act that we had came to this show to see. The doors opened at about 8:30 and Stevie Stone came on stage at about midnight. Stevie was effing amazing, just a kick ass act that really got the party going. He did every song that I had hoped he would do. My buddy and I had a list of songs we were hoping to hear and he did ever single song on that list and more. My hearing was a bit altered that night and through much of saturday but holy catfish did I have an amazing time during Stevie's set.

February 17-21, 2014
To be completely honest I blew off journals all week long,
not sure why I did but it happened. So today
I am giving you a compilation of this week.
First off I made it to Walla Walla safe and sound. One things for sure, my pickup is not a
smooth rider on the highway. I felt
every single damn bump and crack in the highway on the way here. I got stuck behind a Volkswagen beetle that
was going 30 in a 45 and causing me to get rather grumpy. In about ten minutes from the time I am
typing this I will be heading to Richland Washington for the stevie stone
concert. Another nice thing is that I got
a nice one hundred dollars from my mom and dad today to get me to Walla Walla
and back. That’s pretty awesome seeing
as I had enough money to do so but I really did not want to spend a dime of it
if possible. Gas in Washington is also
expensive as hell, like why the hell am I paying thirty more cents per
gallon. Complete bull. I am really glad that it stayed relatively
light on the way over here since my headlights are dim as all hell and I would
probably have gotten into an accident had I needed them. My wipers also did not fail me this time as
they have been doing in the past when I needed them most. My mom sent me with so much crap for my road
trip, I probably had to make three trips just to get it all into my buddies
apartment.

I was just kind of browsing the internet today and decided to read one of my favorite poems, The Charge of The Light Brigade by Alfred Lord Tennyson. It's always been one of my favorites, the story it tells is one that is very interesting and deep. It's not to hard to tell what is going on in the poem. It's one of those things that I really liked and I would hang it in my locker when I was playing football in high school and read it before games sometimes, it just has that kind of effect where you can picture the brigade charging through the cannon fire and explosions and chaos happening all around, it would actually get me kind of pumped up to be honest.

February 13, 2014
The countdown is at 8 days till I go to Walla Walla and see the Stevie Stone concert! Definitely going to be hurting a little financially after this trip though. The gas for the trip should be about sixty-some dollars along with twenty for my concert ticket and another x amount of dollars for food and stuff. I'm slightly regretting buying some of the pointless shit that I got earlier this semester that has somewhat resulted in me getting into this uncomfortable financial situation. I wont be in this situation for too long though, as far as the small amount of work that I do and birthday money, etc. Also I found out today that one of my former football coaches from high school died yesterday. That makes me pretty sad, he was an awesome guy and great coach and will definitely be missed by many. RIP Coach McGinty.
February 12, 2014
I listened to an entire album called Sickology 101 from start to finish today. The way the album is mixed and produced is awesome because all of the tracks crossfade ever so slightly making it to a point where there really is no point in the album where you hear a break in the music, there are a couple of short little interludes that aren't music I guess but they still keep the album constantly moving, and It isn't just this album that has this effect. This album is by Tech N9ne who is a recording artist and founder/co-owner of Strange Music Inc. Almost all albums released by recording artists from Strange Music have this quality of non-stop music and tracks perfectly blending together. It's something that I really appreciate and like about Strange Music.

Today I spent a little less time on campus than yesterday, got a decent amount of work done too. I then proceeded to play madden for roughly three hours until my friend Jarod in Walla Walla got done with his baseball practice. Jarod and I played Gears of War on Xbox live for about two hours so we could finish the game (we beat the whole thing on the hardest difficulty in about 18 hours). Now we have to come up with a game to play on Xbox for the next week and a half until I make the drive to visit him for a weekend. By the way that is next friday! I'm so damn excited to go.
February 10, 2014
I spent my whole day on campus for no reason, I could have gone home at 12:30 or at least like the early afternoon. I had to wait for my friend to be done with class so we could study for our psychology exam which kept me on campus till around 5. We didn't even really get any studying done but oh well. I got about half of my math homework done so something productive came out of all that. I really didn't want to go home then come back again to study, its just a waste of gas.

February 7, 2014
Today I am planning on going out and doing more drifting and
donut-ing since we got the two or so inches of snow last night. Well until then
I will probably play GTA V. Fly around
in a fighter jet blowing people up and stuff, go rob a couple liquor stores, do
some street racing, a little sky diving and whatnot. My favorite thing to do is crash into the
military base and steal a tank then go terrorize the city of Los Santos by
running over cars and blowing shit up.
Then I like to go back to my penthouse apartment and get drunk and look
out of my windows at the amazing view, then I turn off my Xbox.
February 6, 2014
Took my pickup out last night and tore up some parking lot,
did all sorts of donuts and drifts and whatnot.
It was a grand time. I got my ticket for Stevie Stone in the Tri Cities
in two weeks from Friday. I am actually really excited for this show; it’s a pretty
small venue so we will be packed in right up by the stage. Then in May after school gets out I am off to
Spokane for a Tech N9ne concert and I will probably go to Snoop Dogg in Pullman
for WSU springfest. Hopefully Idaho
brings in a cool act for finalsfest. All
in all I will be going to a lot of concerts this spring.

Today I found out about a concert in Richland, that was originally supposedly a 21 and older show but my friend let me know it was 18 and older so we are in! I am going to Walla Walla, Washington on the twenty first to hang out there for the weekend and go to the concert. It’s something that I am really looking forward to. I haven’t seen this guy since graduation so it’s been long overdue. Although I will have a little trouble finding his place because I don’t exactly know how to get to Walla Walla. When I do get there I don’t really know how to get around there either, so it will be an adventure to say the least.

I wanted to continue talking about what I wrote about last Thursday. So about why Tech N9ne and the Strange Music guys like Spokane so much is a pretty interesting story. They were coming to Spokane from Billings, Montana in 2006 I believe, the weather was horrible and they were all riding in a 15 passenger van towing a trailer with a bunch of their equipment. They were the lead vehicle in the convoy of tour crew rigs and the snow was beginning to get serious. All of a sudden they hit a patch of ice and the van and trailer basically started jack-knifing which sent the van into a roll. They rolled somewhere around six to eight times. Krizz Kaliko, the guy I took the picture with, actually got halfway ejected from the van and sucked back in without getting injured. The emergency crew that responded said that they were all blessed to be alive after that. Since then the fans in Spokane are people that Tech always talks about being some of his most loving and loyal fans he performs for, and always makes sure he stops there for at least two shows a year.

Ecstatic. That’s how I feel today after my Seahawks won Super Bowl Forty-Eight. It is something that I have been waiting on for quite some time now. To be completely honest though, it still doesn’t feel real. For some reason I just knew this was going to happen, frankly I expected it. I don’t know if it is as amazingly exciting for me because the game was basically won by Seattle early in the second quarter when they were already blowing out the Denver Broncos. Obviously I am so, so happy and it is so cool to see your favorite team give a complete and total ass-whooping in the biggest game of the year, but even I was hoping for one of those miraculous last second wins that make something like that so sweet. It is still so amazing to finally see this happen and the victory is oh so sweet, so here is to hoping that next year pulls off the same results and a sports dynasty emerges in the emerald city.

January 30, 2014
Today I found out that two of my favorite rappers are going to be in Spokane on May 22nd. Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko. I have personally been to the last three shows that they have performed in Spokane. I have been listening to these guys and other artists from their label, Strange Music, for about six or so years and they have always just had a style that is so amazing to me. The concerts are so much fun to attend; the only bad thing about the show is the sadness when it’s all over. The energy they have on stage and how much they care about their fans is unrivaled, especially the fans in this area that come to Spokane to see them when they drop by from Kansas City, Missouri. I will elaborate more on that tomorrow. The first picture is from the concert just last fall, the second is of tech n9ne, and the last one is me and Krizz Kaliko (the white around his eyes is from a disease called vitiligo which causes the skin to lose its pigment)

I let my dog out today cause he had to go to the bathroom. So as I am waiting by the door for him to go I see that he is peeing on his own foot. He stopped in mid stride and when he lifted his leg, he started peeing right behind and on his front right paw. I wonder about my dog sometimes, he runs head on into walls, he got lost in my backyard (which is very small by the way) and he is scared of just about everything. Now he is about 115 pounds I would say, and he has a big bark, and is maybe the biggest chicken I have ever seen. He is one entertaining dog though. Oh, and I forgot, he likes to move his eyebrows when you talk to him. Due to that my mom decided to paint his eyebrows with mascara to see how much they move.

-Row, row, row your boat, sneaking up the stream.
Lock and load in tactic mode
United States Marine.-
I have had that stuck in my head all day. I must say that this is a pretty catchy little tune.
This week is going to be the longest week of my life. The super bowl is this Sunday and I am more than stoked to see it. If my Seahawks win it then 2014 will pretty much be made for me already. The anticipation of this game is probably going to kill me. After seeing media day today I am even more excited for it, although once the game is over, win or lose, the depression of waiting for football season sets in once again.
January 27, 2014
I had an interesting debate about Sasquatch today. One of my friends firmly believes that there is no such thing as Sasquatch, while another and I do believe in it. Now for the most part I played devil’s advocate for both of them. Basically I would take one side then switch and switch and switch. Especially when my buddy that believed in Sasquatch stated that Sasquatch DNA had been found and confirmed, I argued against him because his argument really didn’t hold a lot of water. I really would like to believe in Sasquatch because why not? It is just such an intriguing thing to believe in and it would be so cool for something like that to really exist.

I woke up at eight o'clock this morning when my alarm was set for 6:30. I had a math class at 8:30 and literally got ready to go in less than 5 minutes and got to campus from my house across town in about another 5. When I sat down in class it was 8:15 and I ended up being early. I probably could have eaten breakfast before I left and I would have been okay, but oh well. It is definitely a crappy day today for me that is for sure.

Today I listened to a lecture about the Kennewick man. Which is one of the oldest human skeletons that was found over near the tri-cities in Washington. Apparently the man was a copper smith which was strange because he was much older than we thought that copper was being used by primitive humans. He was also believed to have been murdered. He had a spearpoint stuck in his ribs and a broken hip which the experts apparently believe that he lived with for many years before his death by spear. It’s a cool story to hear about seeing as it was pretty close to home.

Today I went to my philosophy class at 3:30 after spending about three hours in the polya lab. I walked all the way up to the admin building and hiked up to the third floor and waited for the previous class to finish. I proceeded to sit down in my class about ten minutes early and wait. Other people began to file in and sit down and we all waited quietly for the instructor to show up. 3:30 passed by and at about 3:45 someone piped up saying, “class is canceled, I just got an email from the teacher.” I could have gone home at 12:30…….

I came home from classes today and was actually rather surprised. Normally when I come home from class I am greeted by barley, a very excited one hundred-plus pound yellow lab moving at close to supersonic speed ramming into me. I went to see if he was in the backyard, and he was nowhere to be found. Upon further investigation I found him lying in my sister’s bed on his back and his head on the pillow, dead asleep. I said his name and freaked him out enough for him to fly off the bed and onto the floor. He then proceeded to ram into my legs at full speed to greet me.

Journal 1: January 20, 2014
Well after the exciting weekend I had at my house I am happy to say that my Seattle Seahawks are headed to Super Bowl XLVIII! It has been a while now since Seattle has been to a Super Bowl, the last one was the 2005-2006 team that actually had the same record at thirteen wins and three losses and took the same route in the playoffs as the number one seed in the NFC with home-field advantage. It’s an exciting and surreal feeling to see my lifelong favorite team on the biggest stage in professional sports! Now I have to wait for two weeks to see if they can finish this dream season and bring the first Lombardi Trophy back to the great northwest! Go Hawks!
